+ About Val Mackintosh

I use a range of therapeutic techniques to promote healing and change, most of which are grounded in an understanding of Attachment theory.

I have a particular interest in working with clients with a complex trauma history and in the field of Perinatal Psychology with an emphasis on Infant Mental Health. I have completed in depth training in relationship based approaches to Perinatal mood disturbance and have an understanding of the difficulties that the transition to parenthood can present. That being said, I also enjoy working with all adult presentations during any transitional or difficult periods they may be experiencing.

I undertake regular professional development training and supervision and I am passionate about providing the best possible care to my clients.
